- This season featured the least number of participants in The
Amazing Race Teen Edition (TARTE) history with only 7 participants (2 teams of
two and 3 solo teams), only matched by Season 3. Subsequently, this season has the
most solo team in TARTE history.
- Season 5 is the first and only season without a Yield
implemented in the entire Race.

In Leg 3, Farhana & Aqila not knowingly skipped 2 tasks in that
particular leg and received a 5 minute penalty at the Pit Stop. However
it did not affect their presence in the Race. This is the first time a
team has skipped 2 tasks in the Race.
- In Leg 4, Alan & Gok Heng arrived at the Pit Stop in 3rd
place. However, they could not check in the Pit Stop yet due to the 1
minute penalty imposed on them for checking in the previous Pit Stop
which was a non-elimination leg in
last place. They were eventually overtaken by Farhana & Aqila who
arrived 30 seconds before
the 1 minute period ended.
- The battle for first place between Yongming and Eng Khim to the finish
line marked the closest finish in TARTE history. Yongming beating Eng Khim by a
margin of few meters (approximately 2 seconds)
- Yongming & Eng Khim are the first two solo teams to have
qualified into the final leg in TARTE history.
(Both of them eventually finished 1st and 2nd place respectively)
- Farhana & Aqila is currently the first and only Islam
team to have qualified into the final leg in TARTE history. (They finished in 3rd
place)
- Yongming has set the record to be the first and only solo player to have won TARTE, outlasting two paired up teams.
- Yongming is the third team and the first and only solo team in TARTE history to win a race without a prior first place finish.
- Eng Khim has set the record to be the first solo player to have won three legs consecutively. (Eng Khim was placed first in Leg 2, 3 and 4). In a way, he has also tied up with Pei Lyn & Jia Sheen of Season 3 and Matthew & Jo Yi of Season 4 with the most number of legs won.
- Yongming, winner of The Amazing Race Season 5 has won RM50. He currently holds the highest amount of cash price won by any individual participant.
- Farhana & Aqila has set the record to have achieved the same placements for five consecutive times (3rd place throughout the race).
